Keep those keys a-pounding. We've got a a tremendous amount of great stuff coming in VSys One 1.5, tentatively scheduled for release in December. As usual, most of the best ideas come from our customers and prospective customers, if you've got suggestions, send 'em along.

Some of the most recent additions include:
  • redesign of availability, including negative availability (when your volunteers are known to be not available
  • a much easier way to save what you're working on without going back a screen
  • more options for recurring assignments
  • user-specified list fields available in person lookup
  • suppressing of sports and/or projects for organizations for which they're not applicable
  • creating and editing non-slot assignments, including recurring assignments, from the calendar tool
  • for that matter, a complete revamp of the calendar tool to show (optionally) up to seven days at once
  • recurring assignments that use multiple rules at once, including "fifth"
  • entry of hours in hours:minute, fractional hours or start & finish times, including hours records > 24 hours at once
  • all-new certifications export tool
  • volunteer entry of hours and mileage by volunteers via the web
  • a spell check tool for letters and mail merges
  • e-mail attachments
  • many new kiosk enhancements
  • automatic finding of replacements for job assignments when a volunteer cancels

Anybody feeling ambitious is welcome to try these newest versions on for size, otherwise plan on seeing the public release sometime next month.
